Wiley has announced his biggest ever headline show to date in the UK, which will be taking place at O2 Academy Brixton on Friday 3rd November.
The show comes after the huge success of Wiley‘s standout solo album ‘Godfather’ in January – his first UK top 10 album – with a sold out gig in Camden’s Roundhouse the following month.
The Roundhouse show went near-viral, with a veritable roll call of grime royalty coming out in support the Godfather of grime. BBK members Skepta, JME and Frisco took their turns, as did Devlin, Lethal B, P. Money and Ghetts, with Stormzy topping off the incredible selection of surprise special guests. With the mics getting passed round with unfaltering energy, Wiley’s shows act almost as a family reunion for the London grime scene.
Wiley has carved his own niche through a career that has moved from influential underground tracks such as ‘Ice Rink’, ‘Wot Do You Call It?’ and ‘Pies’, through to massive crossover hits including ‘Wearing My Rolex’, ‘Heatwave’ and ‘Can You Hear Me? (Ayayay)’.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 15th February and will be available at GigsandTours
