The music industry and fans across the world are mourning the unexpected death of yet another legend – Whitney Houston.

One of the greatest singers of all time, Whitney Houston was pronounced dead in her bathtub in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton at around 4pm LA time/11.55pm UK time. While, the music world prepared for the Grammys below paramedics were battling to save the troubled star.

As stars arrived at the Beverly Hilton for a pre-Grammy Awards party held by Clive Davis, the scene was said to be chaotic as fans also gathered to mourn the star and remember her life. It is also thought that Whitney’s body remained at the property for the majority of the party.

Record boss, Clive Davis is said to have considered cancelling his annual pre-Grammys party but insisted that he had been asked to carry on by the star’s family and also commented that it’s what the singer would have wanted.

Reports suggest that although Whitney’s death is not clear at this moment, it is thought that her tragic death is not being treated as suspicous. It’s been no secret that Whitney Houston has battled against drugs and alcohol, however hopefully people will remember her for the outstanding talent she had.

Organisers of the Grammy Awards have already swung into action and have arranged for Jennifer Hudson to perform a respectable tribute to the fallen star. Simon Cowell has also commented that Whitney Houston was being considered for a role on The X Factor in the USA.

Since the tragic news broke to the world, stars have taken to Twitter with Rihanna tweeted: “No words!!! Just tears #DearWhitney” and Mariah Carey: “Heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend,the incomparable Whitney Houston“.

As the music industry and fans continue to try and obsorb the tragic yet unexpected death, one thing is certain Whitney Houston had amazing talent and should be remember for her music and not her troubles.
